About CK Design

The roots of CK Design hark back to 1994, when I first became involved in architectural design in New Zealand (my home country).  In that year I founded Tarzan Design Ltd and ran it as a successful design practice for 15 years. During that time, I was instrumental in designing hundreds of new homes and remodels, and left behind in New Zealand many hundreds of extremely happy customers (have a look at some testimonials from some of them).  This is just a small smattering of them, but a good cross section.

While running Tarzan Design Ltd, I picked up a couple of awards - one for Best New residential home design, and a second for Best Multi-unit design.  These awards were given by my peers, so I felt very proud and honored to be the recipient of them.

I always endeavored to get it right first time, but, let's be realistic, this is construction, and "stuff happens" in construction.  My philosophy which underpinned Tarzan Design (and now, of course CK Design) was "It's the putting right that counts!"  This isn't to say I'll be making lots of mistakes, but the ones that do occur will be put right, at my cost, before any other work. The customer is first, is another way of saying it.
